Training Practice

You may be offered an appointment with a GP Registrar, who is a fully qualified doctor. These doctors spend six months to one year in our practice before finding their own practice or returning to hospital work.

Student doctors, who are not yet fully qualified, occasionally sit in during consultations to gain experience. You will be informed when a student is in the surgery.

Please advise the receptionists if you would prefer a student not to be present during your consultation.

To help in teaching, we sometimes use audio and video recordings of consultations, although only with the patients’ permission. If you have any objection please tell the doctor.
