This year the NHS will offer most eligible adults a flu vaccine from early October, which is slightly later than in past years. This is because the latest scientific evidence shows this is the best time for most adults to be vaccinated to give the most protection, closer to the winter months when flu circulates most.
We are currebntly contacting patients who should have an NHS flu vaccine to book an appointment. Patients will receive a text message with a link to select and book an appointment.
Please only contact us if you think you should have the flu vaccination, but have not been invited by October.
Pregnant women and eligible children can have their vaccine slightly sooner, once the vaccines have arrived in September.
School-aged children will be offered the flu vaccination at school
The NHS will contact patients who are eligible for Covid-19 vaccinations. These will not be given at the practice this year.
